We walked through Palermo to the station
reflecting on our time here, we agree it's one of our favorite places, historic, vibrant , musical and unlike mainland Italy refreshingly unselfconcious and unsophisticated ,Naples crossed with Havana?
we found Cefalù heavily altered, as all the signs are being replaced and streets filled with antique cars for filming of the new Indiana Jones movie??? what !??
apparently the incredibly pretty town isn't quite pretty enough already ? Anyway great excitement for our local guide who was desperately watching the old movies and working out how to alter her mythology based tour to accommodate this new opportunity! we Wouldn't think it will be that difficult . Antonio Banderas and Harrison Ford were in town but wouldn't answer our call. their loss !
Found the local craft beer outlet and took on the sights without Harrison tagging along which, to be honest, would just have cramped our style
Recommend Cefalù (pronounced Chef a lu ) to everyone : it's very very pretty.
