(feeling blessed, but so sad for Ukrainians, Russians and anyone else affected by Putins paranoid madness as tanks roll into Kiev... recognise full well it does seem slightly inappropriate to be enjoying ourselves.)
The usual last minute "shit your pants moment" as British Airways cancel all short haul flights due to technical difficulties, my BA app stops working, and several other first world problems, herald a standard day for travelling, If it's not stressful it probably isn't worth doing !
BA currently demand use of the VeriFLY app., which is a huge pain in the arse, and the queue for those with the app was just fractionally longer than those without it!
but glass of fizz - flight on time - we are set to fly.
hoping the ridiculously talented and ridiculously beautiful couple @fredwattsart and @nataliealex_ are safely on a bus from Nicaragua to San Jose CR to meet us.... so excited
The BA flight to Costa Rica, San José was about 12 hours, uneventful. Needed the https://salud.go.cr/ pass for entry which is pretty straight forward .... then while waiting for the hire car, this pungent but beautiful couple turned up!!!
