@NHSontheRun first festival trip!
Beautiful weekend in the Sussex countryside. A Jazz Soul Funk festival at Glynde House in Sussex. A near perfect setting, great music line up, Van Nessa and @louwattsie, what more could I want???
Add in The Brand New Heavies, Sister Sledge, Samm Henshaw, Tom Misch along with loads of jazz sessions and of course, Gregory Porter, and #campervan life takes on a whole new dimension.
The festival toilets stank so bad! Standard. SO Glad we could retreat to the luxury of our portaloo!!! Our neighbours in a rental camper (Ducato from Quirky Campers) were so liberated by the experience they decided to pee behind their van leaving bog roll scattering the area. Three bottles of water cost us £10.50.
The crowd was an eclectic mix of multicultural Britain, from first puking 17 year old festival newbies, through to some of the hippest jazziest elderlies you will lay eyes on! People watching an absolute joy! Unashamed dad dancing was the order of the day, and with Sister Sledge on stage, what other sort of dancing is there???
The weather was amazing, as every we slept so well in Nessa! Booking for 2023 highly recommended Love Supreme tickets
